The classic "Disneyland" sign...
We got "Just Married" buttons--we also got "We're Celebrating" buttons, "Happily Ever After" buttons, and, for good measure, "Happy Anniversary" buttons. The buttons are great because all the Cast Members and some other guests notice and say congratulations. One CM gave us our own "honeymoon" boat at It's a Small World.
After a lot of loitering and some careful watching, we were able to get a chance to ride the new Little Mermaid ride before it was officially open. We didn't even have to wait! We were eating our breakfast (ice cream, of course) near the ride entrance and I saw a manager give a nod to the CMs and they opened the ride!
Here's me at Minnie's House in Toontown...
No trip to Disney is complete without a couple character pictures! We got to enter Toontown an hour before the official opening since we had booked our trip with AAA. The characters were just entering Toontown and there was hardly anyone around.
Here's me with Goofy...
And my husband and I with Pooh!
Since Star Tours was only days from re-opening, there was a lot of promotional filming going on. Darth Vader was filmed watching fireworks right behind us! We did get to ride Star Tours before the June 3rd opening, too--the new updates are great!
And then there's what might possibly be my favorite thing at Disney California Adventure: World of Color! I can't imagine anyone not LOVING this show; even my not-so-crazy-about-Disney friend thought it was fantastic. The music, color, and water features are incredible!!!
This is just a small sample of all the fun we had; I can't wait to go back soon!!
